Canna ‘Asia’ is a medium sized Italian Group cultivar; dark green foliage, oval-acuminate shaped, white margin, upright habit; oval stems, coloured green; flowers are self-coloured gold, throat dotted scarlet, staminodes are large, edges regular, average bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; seed is sterile, pollen is low fertile; rhizomes are long and thin, coloured white; tillering is prolific. Still available in Southern and Eastern Europe.
