Canna ‘Bill Johnson is a tall Foliage Group cultivar; green and purple variegated foliage, large, oval shaped, spreading habit; flowers are self-coloured red, staminodes are small, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not true to type, self-pollinating; rhizomes are tuber-like groups, coloured purple; tillering is average.
