Canna ‘Bonfire’ is a tall Foliage Group cultivar; green foliage, oval shaped, branching habit; round stems, coloured green; flowers are reflexed, capsicum-red (RHS 33A), and tomato-red (RHS 44B), throat touch of yellow, staminodes are medium size, edges frilled, labellum is blob of yellow, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules round.
