A medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; green foliage, oval-acuminate shaped, spreading habit; round stems, coloured purple; spikes of flowers are open, rose and amber, throat rose, staminodes are medium size, edges regular, stamen is amber, style is pale pink, petals purple, average bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white; tillering is slow.
Earliest research reference is Henderson’s Catalogue of 1897, which also refers to it’s synonym C. ‘Peachblow’.

Canna ‘Alice’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; green foliage, oval shaped, transparent margin, branching habit; oval main stems, coloured green; triangular flower stems, coloured green; clusters of flowers are open, old-rose with a pale yellow margin, staminodes are medium size, edges lightly frilled, labellum is pale yellow, petals yellow, fully self-cleaning, average bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and pink; tillering is slow.

A small Crozy Group cultivar; green foliage, branching habit; flowers are self-coloured pink, fully self-cleaning, exceptional bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and pink; tillering is prolific.

Raised by the Canna guru of India, Mr Sydney Percy-Lancaster, over 50 years as the Secretary of the Royal Agro-Horticultural Society of India. His father, Percey Lancaster, started breeding the Alipore Cannas in 1892. This plant was in the collection of the Royal Agri-Horticultural Society , Alipore, Calcutta, India in 1966, and is still available in that country.

A medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; light green foliage, oval-acuminate shaped, white margin, upright habit; round stems, coloured green; flowers are open, self-coloured salmon, staminodes are large, edges irregular, blooms open in the early morning; fertility unknown.
The colour of the flowers changes with the seasons, and by late autumn (fall) the flowers are a ‘sizzling hot’ orange in colour.
Our earliest reference to this specimen is Karchesky and Harris Canna, 2006.
Named for the Allegheny mountains, running through the state of Pennsylvania, the home of Alice Harris.
