Canna ‘Champigny’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; bronze foliage, oval shaped, branching habit; oval stems, coloured purple; flowers are open, self-coloured cerise, staminodes are medium size, fully self-cleaning, low bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured purple.

The only photographs that we have of this plant, from various sources,  show bad virus contamination. The absence of any on sale on the web raises the question  as to whether it is now available commercially.
