Canna ‘Hellas’ is a medium sized Italian Group cultivar; green foliage, oval shaped, white margin, spreading habit; oval main stems, coloured green; triangular flower stems, coloured green; spikes of flowers are open, lemon with maroon spots, staminodes are large, edges frilled, petals yellow, fully self-cleaning, blooms open in the early morning; seed is sterile, pollen is low fertile; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white; tillering is slow.
