This unusual Canna adds to the ever increasing line of variegated foliage Cannas. From our plant-nut friend, Jim Waddick, comes this sport discovered in Kansas City, MO. The foliage has irregular 1 inch wide sectoral patterns, alternating green and chartreuse. In late summer, the clumps are topped with large bright butter yellow flowers. Visitors have been after these for years….a true collector’s item ($18)

(M) The green leaves of this cultivar are irregularly variegated with lemon-yellow and lime. It is a variable grower, which can look spectacular but because of its mutant nature often produces poorly variegated shoots that are very disappointing and may even look diseased. It has yellow flowers and was raised by J. Waddick. There is some debate as to whether ‘Munchkin’ is distinct as it is reputed to come from a different source. It also looks very similar to ‘TyTy Golden Ribbon’.
