Canna ‘Mandy Robinson’ is a small Crozy Group cultivar; green foliage, oval shaped, spreading habit; triangular main stems, coloured green; spikes of flowers are open, red-orange with a wide yellow margin, staminodes are medium size, edges irregular, petals green, fully self-cleaning, outstanding bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules round; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and pink; tillering is average.

A new small Canna, clusters of vivid iris like orange flowers with a large, yellow, dynamic margin crowning medium green, well shaped foliage.
Clusters of delicate, single, gladiolus-like,orange staminoides with a large, yellow, dynamic margin., self-cleaning The orange centres are streaked with lines of reddish-orange. The labellum is a red-orange with some yellow markings in the throat and some yellow lines venturing into the centre of the petaloid.
The breeding is CannaTangerine’ x CannaYara’. Fertile both ways.

Summary: A new small Canna, clusters of vivid iris like orange flowers with a large, yellow, dynamic margin crowning medium green, well shaped foliage. Not as good as meeting the real Mandy Robinson, but a tribute to a wonderful person.
Size: Up to 60cm (2′)
