(M) This distinct Canna has small, yellow flowers with tiny red dots. The overriding effect is quite delicate. It is worth growing in a collection but not a stunner.
Very large dark yellow blooms (mid to late season) on robust green

foliage. To around 4 feet in height.

Claines Canna Collection 2006
Summary: Even Kent Kelly who raised this specimen acknowledges that it is not an early season star. It gives its first blooms quite late in the season, and they an interesting but unexceptional small yellow bloom with tiny red dots. A must for any collection, but not a border star. Useful as a reliable border backdrop with exotic foliage.
Size: Medium
Flower: Small yellow blooms with small red spots, flowering late in the season.
Foliage: Robust green foliage.

Amazing! I’ve never seen anything like it! These are just a few of the comments from visitors about this new Kent Kelly hybrid. Canna ‘Orange Punch’ is a compact fast-multiplying Canna, topped from spring until frost with intense bright orange flowers with a yellow throat. From its C. iridiflora background, the flowers are held in long pendant racemes instead of the typical upright spikes. If you like bright gaudy colors, this unique new Canna will quickly become one of your favourites. $12.
Ian Cooke, The Gardeners Guide to Growing Cannas
(M) The colour of this cultivar is reminiscent of a well-known canned, fizzy orange drink (not well known to me!). The rich orange blends into yellow in the throat. It has a long season of flower and is entirely self-cleaning. In hot, dry conditions, the stems are inclined to droop with the weight of flowers, a trait avoided by keeping the plant well watered. The foliage is green.
Intensely rich brilliant orange (tangerine) blending into a yellow throat. Full season bloomer that is totally self cleaning. The green elliptical lance leaves grow to 2·5 or 3 feet. Keep the plant slightly moist to prevent the heavy laden blossoms from yawing in the heat.

Love your garden in late summer when rosy beauty Canna ‘Pink Princess’ fashions herself a fabulous crown of big, exotic pink blooms. But you don’t have to wait all summer for a good show – through the earlier months while she’s building up for her big floral finale she’s a stately green goddess, towering up to 1.5m tall with big lush leaves which pad out the planting scheme and
provide a tranquil, emerald setting for your summer flowers.

Cannas typically look gorgeous in a tropical style border combined with other exotic-looking plants like dahlias, but they can fit in really well to a more traditional style too and look brilliant grouped together amongst clumps of flowering perennials in border. On the other hand, if your garden is contemporary or has smaller planting spaces, these stylish Canna ‘Pink Princess’ can fit right in (literally) – with their small footing they’re great at making a big impact in a small space.
